The Beer Cafe, Sector 50, Gurugram

It has become a habit of sorts for the author of thetimelock to visit The Beer Cafe outlet and have a fun time with beer and buddies. This time we went to check out The Beer Cafe outlet at Sector 50, Good Earth City Centre. This place too like others, is out of the world.

Location of The Beer Cafe, Sector 50

This outlet is inside the city centre and right in front. No problem locating it on Google Maps too.

About The Beer Cafe, Sector 50

Located within the premises of Good Earth City Centre, this place is not easy to miss. It is right in front and has two entrances. This mall has a parking of its own. So no issues there. There is also some congested parking right in the front. This place does not have a separate smoking section. In a small and limited space, there is everything packed in properly and no space has been wasted. Two floors of seating and there is huge television screen. There is some music available. But this is one place where you can have a easy conversion with people accompanying you. Tables for two, four and six. Plus a sort of private seating on top. The whole place is walled by glass which gives it a very classy look. Lighting is warm inside and that sets the mood right for beer time.

About the food and the beer

The Beer Cafe has an awesome beer collection. There was an offer going on for Hoegaarden draught beer. It is still very expensive compared to the local brand of Fosters. But the offer was very good and we settled for two huge mugs of half liter each. Service for beer is fast. The servers explain the menu and the offer in detail. At the outset, remember, bottled beer and draught beer cannot match the price of microbreweries which has mushroomed in Sector 29, Gurugram. Taste will also be different. And the comparison is unfair. For that matter, a home brewery will be even cheaper than a microbrewery.

We had decided not to have food here. Partly because of the reviews about food on Zomato and Google Maps. Also we dont indulge in much food business after having too much of beer. We ordered a couple of snacks and they were good. We asked for the peanuts to be seasoned for taste and they gladly did it. Thankfully this is one of the place which does not ask for a debit card if you want to walk out for a smoke. The beer glasses are prechilled like they are in other outlets of the Beer Cafe. Everything is kept neat and clean. The decor and wall graffiti is nice too.
