Biryani Blues, Dwarka, New Delhi
A restaurant serving Biryani in the capital city of New Delhi should not raise any eyebrows. But as you step in Biryani Blues, you realize that it is not just about the biryani.
Location of Biryani Blues
Biryani Blues is spread across eight locations in New Delhi, that was at the time of writing this review. Eight and still counting, just as per a measure of their success. This review however will focus on the outlet at Dwarka which is one of the highly rated among the others.
Biryani Blues is located in Sector 11, Dwarka. It is easily visible from the main road and correctly marked on Google Maps. Parking is ample and free of charge.
About the restaurant, Biryani Blues, Dwarka
Biryani Blues has been tastefully decorated with Hyderabadi theme and graphics depicting lifestyle of an average person attached to their food. The main hall is dominated with an oversized counter which takes care of billing and delivery and also serves as the food counter. The walls are lined with tables in a seating set of four. There is also a secluded seating on a platform. Seating is comfortable and graphics add to the mood.
Waiters are smartly turned out in their official dress, again peppered with graffiti. They are polite and guide you well though the menu.
About the food at Biryani Blues
Biryani Blues claims to serve the best biryani in New Delhi. A right blend of aromatic rice, spices and delicious chicken, you fall in love with their biryani at first bite. Not too spicy, the grains of rice dont stick to each other.
The menu is spread across Biryanis, starters, curries and desserts. There are some interesting items on the menu. Chicken 65 is delicious. Chicken 65 Biryani is again something new. So is Kheema Biryani. For the vegetarians it is Paneer 65 and Paneer Biryani. Dont miss the dish of Eggplant.
Most of the items in the menu are carefully prepared and the recipe is tuned to perfection. As with other places I always check the meat items proudly displayed on the menu. This place too disappointed me as the meat was not upto the mark. I am planning for a second visit and if that time too I do not get a properly cooked meat meal, the ratings are going south.
Other points
The service is fast, surprised me with the speed at which food came out of the kitchen. Most items on the menu are quick cook types so no issues there. Packing of biryani is too good. I was bowled over by that too. Do remember to speak to the waiters on the level of spicyness you want in the food. I could see the locals getting surprised by what is routine in Hyderabad.
Hats off to the management of Biryani Blues. Indeed they do serve the best biryani in New Delhi.

Great post. This made me miss having some nice Biryani. Hard to find goo Biryani that is not too spicy. Great review on Biryani Blues.
