Kamla Nehru Park, Mumbai
Kamla Nehru Park is located in the Malabar area in Mumbai which is one of the rare hill feature inhabited by houses. Malabar Hill is very old and connected with the history of Mumbai itself!
Kamla Nehru Park has an attraction for children in the form of the Old Lady Shoe shaped structure which is absolute joy. The park authorities take good care of it and it is nice to always see a fresh coat of paint every season.
For regulars to Kamla Nehru Park, the biggest attraction is the view it offers of Marine Drive and Chowpatty. Depending on the time of the day and the season, you will always get a breathtaking view of the sea from over the top.
The best way to reach Kamla Nehru Park is to catch BEST Bus No 108 from CST Railway Terminus. This particular bus will take you through the important landmarks of south Mumbai, then hit Marine Drive and onwards to Malabar Hill with the final stop being Kamla Nehru Park. Its a pity that this cant be a double decker bus as it cannot navigate the narrow slopes of Malabar Hills.
