Nehru Place Social, Epicuria Food Mall, New Delhi

There is no need to review a Social series restaurant. Cutting no corners, these places give you the best experience. Nehru Place Social in Epicuria Food Mall is no different. Continuing with the series of restaurants at Epicuria Food Mall is the second one to feature on The Time Lock.

About Nehru Place Social

The first problem that strikes as one enters is that how tiny this place is. The main hall is shaped like a stadium. The dance floor is right in the center. This space also doubles up as seating during the day time. Even at three in the afternoon this place was almost full. Finding a seat of your choice now is a remote possibility. With table booking not available, this is the difficult part. Once you are through with this part, then it is fun all the way. Since we were two, we took the stadium styled seating. There are three levels of these seats with a round shaped table for each. Two or three people can seat there easily. There is another seating right at the top. This part is isolated a bit from the main hall. Four to five tables there. Plus a little bit of outside seating. There are two interesting round boxes for a seating of four each. These boxes are hung on a swing system. Every time the metro passes overhead, there is a huge vibration and a gentle movement on the swing. A cool touch.

About the food

This was the first time we tried drinks at Social. We ordered two social signatures. Both cocktails were cool. Presentation was superb. Enjoy your drinks in style. We also had a couple of glasses of Hoegaarden Draught Beer. The name here is draft beer. We also ordered the Chakhna Tiffin. For the food part we ordered the breakfast tray and a dessert Chocolate Blood Bath. No point in mentioning about the taste. Social standards are above par. Each table is numbered. There is no confusion and service is excellent.

About other points

Paid parking is available outside. Though it is not enough for the rush of people to this food mall. especially on week ends. Day time is family time, where children can join in to have a meal. Evening time is music and dance, and the decibels level are pretty high. The dance floor should be happening place here for nightlife.
