Sindhi Corner, Karol Bagh, New Delhi – a photo story

Sindhi Corner is an age old snacks place which is mostly popular for their heart shaped tikkis.
The tikkis are perfect heart shaped. They are served with a dark green sauce called chutney. Spiciness index of the sauce is on the higher side. The tikkis are served piping hot.
There is an option of having a single tikki. But if you are hungry for for a full plate of a pair. The tikkis are hard and crunchy on the outside and soft juicy pulp inside. Size of the tikki is normal. No curd is served with tikki here. Seating is not available here. There are a few tables where you can stand and enjoy the tikkis. This place is crowded most times of the day.
Tikkis are deep fried till they are crisp. They are not fried till brown but come out with a light color. Consistency is very high. And yes, the sweet in the fore ground is the juicy gulab jamun.
This is the next popular stall, the gol gappa. Mostly people stick to tikkis, but there is also a small crowd at this counter too. Most items are nominal charge. You can have a stomach full snacks for a small amount of money.
Among the other sweets they sell here is the seasonal Gajar Ka Halwa. This one too is very tempting.
And lastly the one drink to finish things off, lassi. A glass of milk is also available here. Lassi sadly was full of too much of froth. Lassi usually all over Delhi is mostly watered down. This is for the health conscious.
The lassi work station. Also used to prepare other sweet items like rabri.
